Dr. Tracy Paul
Dr. Traci Paul joined the practice in 1999. A California native, she graduated with honors in Biology from UC Irvine. In 1991, she received her doctorate from Southern California College of Optometry (SCCO) where she specialized in advanced contact lens fitting.
“Dr. Traci” has been actively involved with the Kiwanis club, and often participates in school screenings for low income children.
She lives in south Orange County with her husband and two children.
Barry Uminsky, O.D.
Dr. Barry Uminsky hails from Boston, Mass. He received his Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Vermont and his Doctorate of Optometry from the University of Waterloo located in Ontario, Canada in 1972. He came to California as a Captain in the USAF and was stationed at Edwards AFB. In 1982 Dr. Uminsky and his family moved to Bakersfield, CA. where he established a large private two office practice concentrating in primary care and contact lenses. In January 2006, after over 23 years of practice, Dr. Uminsky sold his Bakersfield practice and moved to Laguna Niguel. He joined the Griffin Optometric Group in July 2006.
Dr. Uminsky’s professional and community interests have included three humanitarian eye care missions to Central America. During his career he has been president of his local optometric society and his local Lions Club. Personal hobbies include reading, gardening and golfing.
Dr. Uminsky and his lovely wife, Alma, a dedicated and talented educator, have raised three wonderful boys who are pursuing their professional careers.
BRETT SIMON, O.D.
Dr. Brett Simon attended undergraduate school at UC Irvine majoring in Biology followed by the Southern California College of Optometry, where he graduated magna cum laude, in May 2007; fulfilling a dream he expressed when he was age 13.
Dr. Simon has demonstrated exceptional clinical skill, scoring in the 96th percentile on the National Board exam. Dr. Simon also performed well academically. One of his many awards included the Dr. William Feinbloom Low Vision Award, the highest financial award a graduating senior can receive.
Dr. Simon focuses on primary care, contact lenses, ocular disease, vision therapy, low vision, and pediatrics.
On a personal note, Dr. Simon enjoys a variety of activities including soccer, surfing, golfing, fishing, and snowboarding to name a few.
