Contact Lens Exams, Fittings, and Prescriptions
Griffin Optometric Group specializes in contact lens fittings. Whether you need a new contact lens prescription or are interested in trying contacts for the first time, we can help. Our contact lens exam follows our standard eye exam, which assesses your eye health and vision. Once complete, we conduct a series of tests to ensure you are a good candidate for contacts, take measurements of the size and curvature of each eye, and determine your contact lens prescription. We also ask a variety of questions to become familiar with your activities, occupation, and vision needs in order to determine which type of contacts will work best for your lifestyle.
The Latest Technology in Contact Lenses & Solutions
We stay up to date with the latest contact lens advancements and offer the best contact brands on the market: Bausch + Lomb, Alcon, Acuvue by Vistakon, and CooperVision. These brands offer our patients a diverse range of options, including:

All of our contacts have their own unique set of benefits and strengths. When you come in for a contact lens fitting and consultation, we'll help you select the best contacts for your needs. We keep the cost of our contact lenses highly competitive and will make you aware of any special promotions or rebates.
Comprehensive Contact Lens Training
At Griffin Optometric Group, we know that the most successful contact wearers are those who feel comfortable using them. For this reason, we have dedicated contact lens fitting and training rooms at each of our offices. After you have been fitted for contacts, we'll take the time to teach you how to insert and remove your contacts and explain how to store and care for them. Whenever possible, we provide a set of trials to take home and practice with. After a day or two, most new users will feel comfortable inserting and removing their contacts. However, if a patient continues to struggle, our staff is readily available to provide additional training.
Call Griffin Optometric Group today to schedule your eye exam and contact lens fitting. We accept several medical and vision insurance plans, and are open Monday through Saturday. We maintain a large in-office stock of contact lenses and solutions, so we can often send our patients home with trial contacts or a one-year supply on the same day as their exam.
